Reviews & Opinions

PUNKY GIBBON: Although The Saints tunes are dropped in favour of originals, The Aints maintain the three-chord energy/noise levels, although the extreme song lengths are becoming a slight problem, as songs seem to be overextended simply for the sake of it, because “that’s what we do”. While most of the music is outstandingly good, and easily equaling the sheer, pummeling, listening pleasure of those old Saints albums, some of the very long entrants – such as the 11-minuite title track – push the envelope too far.
