TIM YOHANNAN, MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL #8, SEPTEMBER 1983: G.G. apparently has a new band this time around, and I can't say I'm crazy about them. Instead of his earlier 60's garage punk sound, he now has more of a late 60's Metal sound, solos and all. Idiotic and poorly recorded.

IAN McCALEB, THE TROUSER PRESS RECORD GUIDE, 1991: Although the music is a little more interesting, Hard Candy Cock tenders five more songs of similar caliber and mentality. Only "Convulsions" is an interesting rhythmic departure from GG's usual invective pattern strays from the profane path. "I Wanna Fuck Your Brains Out" continues the scatological tirade, and merits no descriptive amplification.

All songs also appear on the Eat My Fuc album. According to the Boozing And Pranks website, the sleeve credits are full of made up names: the correct lineup is GG Allin (drums, rhythm guitar, vocals) and Dan Salomon (lead guitar, bass).
