Reviews & Opinions

JEFF BALE, MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL #6, MAY/JUNE 1983: Old G.G. doesn't give up, but then why should he? This unclear live recording doesn't quite pack the punch of his studio offerings, but it does feature some imbecilic between-song raps by way of compensation. You'd probably have to see G.G. in person to get the full effect of his tastelessness.

Additional Notes

Usually referred to as Tasteless Animal Noise from the legend on the cover, although the spine states merely "Live" and the front also bears the title "No Values" (along with what looks like a perversion of the Black Flag logo, whom they presuimably nicked the "No Values" bit from). Its worth noting that the Band In Boston cassette has virtually identical cover art with the same "tasteless animal noise" legend. Recorded Live in New England 1980 - 1981. Image from Terminal Boredom, and "Additional Credits" from here. Later reissued on CDR by Toilet Rock Productions under the title: "Live In New England" Tasteless Animal Noise (cat no: 00001982).
