ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT

A.K.A. ATTUTUDE

Formed: San Francisco, California, USA

Thrash/hardcore of the common or garden variety.

Their first singer Kevin Reed was replaced by Andy Andersen after a few gigs, and Chris Scapparo joined as second guitarist just in time for their Dead Serious Demo.

American Paranoia marked their arrival as a biggish force on the "crossover" scene, but soon after they mutated into Condemned Attitude when Andersen, Scapparo and Strahl joined forced with ex-Condemned to Death guitarist Keith Chatham.

The lineup later changed its name to Attitude. Kontos and Smith reformed Attitude Adjustment in 1988 as a three-piece, with Kevin Reed back on board, and released the No More Mr. Nice Guy. After 1991's Out Of Hand the band split, with Chris Kontos later forming Machine Head. (Tezz Bones of Broken Bones and Discharge was also briefly a member.)
