Grinding anarcho-Goth-crust miserablists from Belgium, Bad Influence’s long and dirge-like New Age Witch Hunt is occasionally fascinating and tense, alternately captivating and irritating, with tempos ranging from super-slow to mid-speed, with Killing Joke being a partial influence. Intelligent, articulate lyrics are a big plus, but anyone looking for moments of caprice and whimsy would have more success with an Amebix album.
