STEVE SPINALI, MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL #5, MARCH/APRIL 1983: Haunting guitar progressions and an impressive wall of noise distinguish both sides of this debut single by BUTCHER. While "Grow Up" wins points for its breakneck, amphetamine-paced instrumental attack, the flip maintains more dramatic power and distinctiveness. Good, rowdy hardcore energy throughout.
