PUNKY GIBBON: Five classic singles on one great disc.

MARK PAYRESS, RECORD COLLECTOR, 1992: Pat Gilbert drew the short straw (see the Damned's MCA collection reviewed elsewhere in this issue). This is the one you want: all the group's Stiff singles on one short, shiny disc, impeccably packaged with an insert that opens up to reveal all those evocative picture sleeves. The cover of The Beatles 'Help!' may have been a bit of irreverent fluff, but any set which includes 'New Rose' 'Neat Neat Neat', 'Stretcher Case Baby', 'Problem Child' and 'Sick Of Being Sick' can't be bad.
