BRIAN O'NEILL ALL MUSIC GUIDE: After a six-year layoff, vocalist Casey Royer re-formed D.I. -- or did he? The liner notes only list Royer as a member of the band with "guest session players" dubbed the Wick Band making up the list of musicians who accompanied him on this release. He rekindles classic D.I. tracks such as "Richard Hung Himself," but without a fraction of the passion of the originals, and the live tracks are only marginally interesting. When compared to the classic albums this influential group put out, this cash-in cannot be recommended any less.Additional Notes
WIKIPEDIA: The title refers to the singer's his first name (Casey) and the word "ology" may be a reference to the word anthology. Despite the title, it's technically not a compilation album, but it does feature re-recordings and live versions of selected songs from the band's previous releases.
