IAN BIRCH, SMASH HITS, 8TH JULY, 1982: Bands like the GO4 still still forget that it's much easier to deal with a knotty message when it's delivered with a good tune. Barked vocals, boisterous drums and a dentist's drill guitar are no substitute.
