Band Bio / Discography

UK82 type band formed in 1979, which released three really good singles between 1982 and 1983 and a slightly less exciting one in 1984. Think Of England and Fashion Parade, released on their own Half Man Half Biscuit label, do not win any prizes for originality but they are speedy and entertaining examples of dustbin-type punk which scamper along with a lot of enthusiasm and don't even attempt to offer melodies. After these two they graduated to a proper label (or Flicknife at any rate) and issued No Sign Of Life!, probably their most well-known song, which is half-a-step slower and also quite tuneful and better produced, and actually rather powerful. A proposed debut album never materialised, apparently because the master tapes went AWOL, but two songs from it were issued as their final 7-inch, Nicely Does It!!, which was not liked either by the band or their fans.

They reformed in 1996.
