THE PIGS

Formed: Bristol, England, UK

Standard issue '77 punk. That's not a put-down.

Kit Gould - guitar
Eamonn McAndrew - vocals
Nigel Robinson - bass
Ricky Galli - drums

Their one single was issued on their own label with some help from Miles Copeland, and was the second punk single to come out of Bristol. Peel played it a few times, but despite regular gigging - including a headlining show at the Roxy in January 1978 and a few supporting local heroes The Cortinas - the group did not really take off, and split in March '78. They had only existed for 12 months,

The single was taken from a session at Sound Conception Studio in August 1977, where they recorded their entire eleven-song set, The remaining songs remained unissued until Bristol Archive Records released 1977 many years later.
