Reviews & Opinions
PUNKY GIBBON: The second worst single made by Fingers between 1978 and 1983. Who'd have thought in 1978 they'd ever be this pedestrian? 'Listen' is a crashing bore that I've always hated to "listen" to and 'That's When Your Blood Bumps' is another fucking piece of white reggae - both songs plod interminably. 'Sad Eyed People' and 'That's When Your Blood Bumps' (another Cluney number about the joy of punk and rock music) are much better, but both are a bit below the band's usual standard. This was Dolphon Taylor's first record with the band.Additional Notes
The label does not have individual song lengths: it merely lists each side as being eight minutes long. This was issued as 12" single in Australia and New Zealand (cat.no. X 13080 for both territories) and in the UK as a promo 7" with 'Listen' on both sides, one of which is about 30 seconds shorter than the proper single version.
