Reviews & Opinions

TIM YOHANNAN, MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL, APRIL/MAY 1984: The A-side is totally great, full of that powerful, cleanly-produced, uplifting, and distinctive SUBHUMANS sound. The B-side revolves around the theme of the album's title, and runs through many musical styles from lyrical point to lyrical point. As with much ambitious ideas, some of it works and some doesn't, but the higher moments remind me of nothing so much as A.T.V. or CRASS. I can't wait to see them live!
