Reviews & Opinions

PUNKY GIBBON: A compilation of unreleased stuff, mainly live bits from the 1979 (including more efforts from the Roxy Music support show and Electric Ballroom gigs that filled out Document And Eyewitness) but most notable for 'A Panamanian Craze?', a 16-minute ambient instrumental that makes for perfect background noise. There's also the B-Sides of 'Crazy About Love', namely 'Catapult 30' and 'Our Swimmer (Second Length)', the latter of which is the backing track is played exactly two times faster than it should be. For fans, maybe, but still good.

Additional Notes

A companion release from the same label, entitled Coatings, is a double CD set with material from the first reformation period, including Peel Session from 1988, some B-Sides, a song only available on the Japanese release of Manscape, and 'Ambitious', a track written for Stephen Petronio's ballet Middlesex Gorge, which takes up the whole of the second disc.
