PUNKY GIBBON: Every band has a "moment", and despite uncharacteristic lyrics, this is The Adverts' moment: a great single with a ghoulish sense of humour that made it into the Top 40 and earned them a memorable Top Of The Pops slot. The B-Side, previously heard on The Roxy London WC2 (Jan-Apr 77) compilation, was later re-recorded for their Crossing The Red Sea.Additional Notes
