TIM YOHANNAN, MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL #4, JAN/FEB 1983: On one hand, it's slow, repetitive U.K. punk. On the other, it's so raw and weird that the instruments seem to turn into vacuum cleaners and electric saws, while the vocals become eerie PIL-type drones. Definitely odd. It might even grow on me.
