Reviews & Opinions

MARK ELLEN, SMASH HITS, OCT 30 - NOV 12, 1980: To revive the old Beatles parallel, Pete Shelley totally dumps his Paul McCartney pop sensibility on this outing and comes on like manic early 70s John Lennon. Sinister, disturbed and forceful. Seeing it has no hooks, no variation and a production like a gale force wind, you'll have to pay money to hear it.

Additional Notes

Part 2 of a series of singles issued late 1980. This is a double A-Side: 'Strange Thing' is denoted by a "circle" symbol, 'Airwaves Dream' by a "wave" symbol. The UK covers come in two varieties, one with 'Strange Thing' as the "front" side, and a reversed one with 'Airwaves Dream' as the front side.
