Reviews & Opinions

PUNKY GIBBON: A collection of demos and singles sides from the early 80’s, pop-orientated Damned period. Although it has nothing of spectacular importance - unless your definition of “important” extends to instrumental versions of B-Sides and a brace of Sensible’s whimsical, Beatlesy/Syd Barrett-esque home recordings - it’s engaging and enjoyable, and includes some hilarious stuff (‘Lovely Money’ - "big wow!” - 'Some Girls Are Ugly' and ‘Dozen Girls’).
