DAVID HEPWORTH, SMASH HITS, OCTOBER 4 - 17, 1979: Punilux try so hard you nearly have to wipe the sweat off the sleeve. This debut is full of artful, literate, well-organised rock and it gives me a headache. Plenty of talk of alienation, automation and gibbering lunacy. Progressive rock makes a comeback. Head for the hills.
