Lots of great music
but NOT the Complete Stiff masters. Where to begin? Well, when originally released tracks 1-10 (the Wreckless Eric LP) were sped up without Eric's permission They
have now been slowed down to the correct speed. All very well, but it's no longer the LP I know and love.
Also, the ending of 'Waxworks' has been bodged.
The Wonderful World Of.. LP
has never been reissued, so I was disappointed to find they have released the lushly produced LP version of 'I Wish It Would Rain' (4:15)
with a demo version (3:45) from the B-Side of
Crying Waiting Hoping. 'I Need A Situation', B-Side of both Hit & Miss Judy and Broken Doll, is missing, although we do get a live fucking version of the same.
The CD version of the first LP also came with a second version of 'Be Stiff', which is absent. And if you want to be really pedantic, the B-Side version of 'Rags And Tatters'
opened with Eric coughing. That ain't here, either.
Nor is the remix of 'Reconnez Cherie' from the B-Side of A Popsong.
