Reviews & Opinions
PUNKY GIBBON: Crisp production and super-fast riffs galore, but outside of Blaine's annoyingly jumped-up vocals I can't detect much much character, although as an unsubtle thrash punk album it probably passes muster. However, I've never been really keen on this genre, and others that are rate this one very highly. It is certainly worthy of note for being the first album on Earache.
MARK PRINDLE: "Thrash metal at its most insane. The band seriously sounds like the undead come to life - they're playing too fast to be human! The singer screams in the hysterical voice of a person about to murdered. And this weird reverb over everything makes it sound like they're playing in a tomb. The Accused indeed often sound like the undead come back to life to hunt you down, kill you -- and LAUGH about it. This is not morbid death metal to make you feel bad; it's moronically fast hyperspeed thrashcore designed to make you run around, bang your head and go "FUCK YEAH!!!!! SHOW NO MERCY!!!!!""
PUSHEAD, MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL: You missed last time, so don't miss this chance, 'cause this firebomb rips with that kind of crazed ferocity of speed, lightning paced and raw deliverance that yanks the rug out from your feet. The dentist rips teeth from your jaw as Blaine tugs at his frenzied vocals Tina passionate form of chaos, and the band giggles with nerve smashing thrash. The original plus eight new tracks to light up your neighborhood.
