PUNKY GIBBON: Career retrospective spanning the Do It and CBS years, both as a band (good) and a solo artist (bad), with 21 songs in all. The journey from 'Zerox' to rubbish like 'Puss 'N Boots' and 'Vive Le Rock' is like being a passenger on an exploding space shuttle (or an 'Apollo'): glory followed by disaster.

JOE YOUNG/IRA ROBBINS/KATE LEWIS, THE TROUSER PRESS RECORD GUIDE, 1991: Drawing five tracks from Kings of the Wild Frontier and selecting notable tracks from each of Adam's group and solo albums prior to Manners & Physique (plus "Beat My Guest," from the B-side of "Stand and Deliver"), Antics in the Forbidden Zone compiles 21 tones with few serious lapses in taste. (Four songs from the American Dirk is, however, at least two too many.)
