Reviews & Opinions
PUNKY GIBBON: My original opinion of this LP posted here: "The Adicts made some great records...but even though fans usually rave about it, to me this isn’t one of them. It's unfocused and they only rise to the occasion on the mighty ‘Viva La Revolution' and 'Telepathic People'. The rest sounds like filler."
My new opinion, having just listened to it again: "What was I thinking!!? This is a great poppy punk album, full of fast songs with choppy guitars and catchy tunes. There's only a couple of filler tracks ('Calling Calling') and the record is very focused. Their best. Get it."
Additional Notes
This was initially released in small quantities on their own Dwed label (very rare indeed), before Fall Out reissued it in late 1982 with a better sleeve (and on black or yellow vinyl). It's been reissued numerous times. The 1993 Fall Out CD sounds fine to me, but if you must there's a 2008 "25th Anniversary Edition" 2xCD+DVD edition (I Used To Fuck People Like You In Prison - PRISON 162), which includes a the original LP, a newly recorded version it (meh) and a "making of" DVD, all housed in a digipak sleeve.
