JEFF BALE, MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL #4, JAN/FEB 1983: This is a fine record. It's very slow amateur punk, but it's got haunting pop vocals and other distinctive qualities that make it stand out. For example, "Freedom Fighters" has a reggaefied structure and twin guitars, one sparse and one ultra dense, which complement each other perfectly. Way cool.
