Reviews & Opinions
PUNKY GIBBON: With one side by Gong-offshoot Here and Now, half of the naval-gazing on What You See....Is What You Are is, at least, well played. ATVs side, which is not well played, features a re-worked number ('Action Time Lemon'), the nearly-sprightly 'Going Round In Circles' and the endless 'Fellow Sufferer'. Surprisingly viable, but most certainly not for general audiences.
TROUSER PRESS: While a move towards edge music could be seen coming — further spurred by Mick Lineham (later in the Lines) replacing Kim Turner — ATV here sounds aimless and desperate.
Additional Notes
The ATV side can be found on the CD reissue of Vibing Up The Senile Man (Part One).
