Reviews & Opinions
KILTY McGUIRE, PUNK LIVES #4, 1983: The face turns red, the voice gets blustery and everything (we are assured) is "committed". Hit it lads, hit it and never let reviewers like me stop you - it takes a strong commitment to thrashabout politics to listen to this for pleasure, but that's no-one's problem save the ignorant. Okay, hard-core, weak-vocal production and I can't pretend I'll ever play such a single EVER again.
RUTH SCHWARTZ, MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL #5, MARCH/APRIL 1983: I'm not sure if the Small Wonder label is here to stay, but it's real good to see this new record. ANTHRAX definitely have that CRASS-family sound, with its orchestrated highs and lows. This EP is musically and lyrically powerful, so watch for another soon on the Crass label.
