Reviews & Opinions
PUNKY GIBBON: Damaged is quintessential Black Flag, with fifteen nervous breakdowns in thirty-five minutes, including the anthemic 'Rise Above' (“We are tired of your abuse/Try to stop us, it’s no use”) and ‘TV Party', a witty hymn to avoiding reality by crashing out in front of the tube with your pals and a crate of beer. Highly recommended, this makes much of the competition seem anemic, with incredibly wild guitar solos, juggernaut drumming and uncontrolled hoarse shouting from Henry Rollins. Frequently hilarious, always on-target, this is the real deal.
FLEX! HARDCORE: With their new singer Henry BF found their best & most intense singer; all the hits, lots of hate & raw energy. [10].
