BUZZ
Formed: Middlesex, England, UK
OK, not a punk band, but included here because some people believe them to be a punk band. The B-Side of the wank Jubilee Rock is a strong piece of R&B-inspired psychedelia (or psychedelia-inspired R&B if you like). This page, where I grabbed the scans from, has a very colourful description of the single should you wish to investigate further.
According to 1977: The Year Of Punk And New Wave by Henrik Bech Poulsen: The leader of the band was a certain Peter Dye (guitar, vocals). Other members included Kelvin Purcell, David Watson and Brian Jackson. Both Dye and Purcell could furthermore be found in Captain Rock & The Skyriders, a band that also released a single on Crystal Records in 1977. This one really has nothing to do with punk or new wave, which is why you will not find it included here. Kelvin Purcell was later in Jeep.
