Reviews & Opinions
CHAINSAW, JUNE 1978: This is an incredible LP, one of the best to come out of the "new wave". They keep up a frantic pace all the way through - all the eleven songs are about the same speed and they've all got the same basic sound (except '16' and 'Moving Away From The Pulsebeat') but they've got that extra spark that sets them apart from the rest of the groups. The Buzzcocks have a fresher, lighter and faster sound than groups like the Pistols. None of the singles are on here (apart from the new one, but that came out after the album) so that's no excuse if you haven't got it! My rating: *****Additional Notes / Lyrics
The Special Edition was reissued in 2013 in a jewel case (as well as a digipak).
