FIRST SEMI-STABLE LINEUP (June - September 1976):

Jon Moss and Pablo LaBritain tried out before this lineup coalesced. You can hear the five-piece band on the bootleg 5 Go Mad In The Roundhouse.
LINEUP #2 (September 1976 - April 1977):

Joe Strummer - vocals, guitar
Recorded The Clash. Terry Chimes by this time was not considered a full time member of the band. Rob Harper drummed on the Anarchy In The UK tour in December.
LINEUP #3 (May 1977 - June 1982)

Paul Simonon - bass
Topper Headon - drums
Joe Strummer - vocals, guitar
Recorded Complete Control (1977) and everything up to and including Combat Rock (1982). For a period, Micky Gallagher of the Blockheads became an unofficial fifth member.

Recorded Cut The Crap (1985) - well, Howard didn't (he was replaced by a drum machine) and Simonon only played on two songs. This lineup can be heard (better) on the Patriots Of The Wasteland bootleg.
