Reviews & Opinions
TIM YOHANNAN, MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL #1, JULY 1982: Lots of really fast H.C. stuff here, but you can't tell what they're singing about - no lyrics sheet. But maybe it's better that way. I'm afraid to know what these 'geniuses' are saying. Cover says it all.
CHARLES P. LAMEY, THE NEW MUSIC RECORD & TAPE GUIDE, 1987: Troops of Tomorrow has a cleaner guitar sound, and the lyrics are a bit easier to understand [than on the first LP], but the improved production doesn't mean they're getting slick: it's still as rough as can be.
Additional Notes
The LP was excluded from the Indie charts after 3 weeks because Secret entered into a distribution deal with CBS. This has been reissued many times. Warning: I bought the Dojo CD edition issued in 1993 and it was horrendous sound; it may be that I bought a dud copy, but if they're all like this it should not be touched with a barge pole.
