Reviews & Opinions

PUNKY GIBBON: The freshness of the first album is utterly absent, the production undetectable and the songs are plodding, lifeless and almost entirely without merit, with predictable chord sequences and thicko vocals by Roi Pearce (late of The Last Resort). Surprisingly, there's an attempt at a nostalgic spy movie instrumental ('The Spy From Alaska'), but they simply don't have the ability to pull it off. Its one bright spot is 'Five More Years', an amusingly lowbrow look at the virtues of not working. A terrible LP.

PAUL CASTLES, PUNK LIVES #11, 1983: This release certainly isn't an improvement on the 4-Skins first LP [read full review here]
