DAVID HEPWORTH, SMASH HITS, MARCH 19 - APRIL 1, 1981: I always used to liken Gang Of Four to those religious pop groups - get the suckers dancing, then hit them with The Message! This, however, is a definite improvement. Everything these days is integrated into one fearsome, hammering sound, coming at you in this case like a very determined train with tangled guitars and moaning noises clearing its path. Tuff stuff.
