SPEED / MIDNITE CRUISER

Formed: Portadown, Northern Ireland, as Speed

Obscure band who released Northern Ireland's first punk single - Big City as Speed - and split up, immediately reforming as Midnite Cruiser (with a third guitarist in tow!) and released Northern Ireland's second punk single. Singer Paul West later joined The Tearjerkers (where he called himself Paul Maxwell).
