Reviews & Opinions
PUNKY GIBBON: This handy CD collects all their singles recorded for Albion, starting with ‘Obsessed’ and ending with ‘13th Floor Madness', stopping off for non-LP songs such as 'Indian Reservation' (a splendid if slightly bland cover of a country protest song) and the 12" version of 'Wild Sun' along the way (it would have nice to have had the shorter 7” version as well, folks). But it isn't restricted only to B-Sides: there’s a version of 'Obsessed' intended for the Australian market re-titled ‘Sex’, and an outtake-that-sounds-like-it from Concrete ("Painted Smile'), and some alternate versions of songs from the stinking 13th Floor Madness. I'd still like to hear the Albion non-punk years.Additional Notes
