Reviews & Opinions
CLIFF WHITE, SMASH HITS 5TH-18TH APRIL 1979: From the better half of the 'Swindle' album, a familiar Pistols' treatment of a so-so song, written by, and featuring, the survivors - Paul Cook and Steve Jones. Unsensational but commendable, no-nonsense punkarama; unlike the orchestrated silliness on the flip, 'Who Killed Bambi', featuring Ten Pole Tudor. Who cares?Additional Notes
'Silly Thing' is listed as 3:20 on label: I have stated correct length. Both songs from The Great Rock N Roll Swindle. The UK version of 'Silly Thing' is different to the LP version, where Paul Cook sang lead vocals and Steve Jones played bass. The Barclay single has the Paul Cook version.
