Reviews & Opinions
JEFF BALE, MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL #1, JULY 1982: A huge disappointment. This is so lame it's hard to believe TSOL put out one of the best punk EPs of 1981. "Man & Machine" is alright punk,"Statues" is embarassingly wimpy and pretentious, and the others sound like substandard out-takes from the LP.
TROUSER PRESS: TSOL's fondness for atmosphere reached into more experimental territory on the four-song Weathered Statues, an assured exploration of spacey, sorrowful post-punk textures and even dub trappings. The record is as fitting a primer as possible for the full-on creative renaissance to come.Additional Notes
