Formed: Chapel-En-Le-Firth / New Mills, Derbyshire, England, UK

Monstrous skinhead band formed our of the un-recorded The Dismal Sports, The Violators released two cracking and very popular Oi! singles before going completely Goth for a third one. They had close ties to Blitz and Attak.

The band reformed many years later and in 2018 issued a new single, Tied To The Tracks (on Violated Records).

Lineup 1 (1979-1982)

Helen Hill - Vocals
Shaun 'Cess' Styles (aka Stylesy aka Sean) - Vocals
Mark 'Coley' Cole - Guitar
John 'Matchi' Marchington - Bass
Anthony 'Ajax' Hall - Drums

Recorded: Gangland / The Fugitive and Summer Of '81. When this lineup split Helen and Coley formed Taboo, which never recorded anything.

Lineup 2 (1983):

Louise - Vocals
Shaun Styles - Vocals
Andy - Guitar
John Marchington - Bass
Anthony Hall - Drums

Recorded: Life On The Red Line. After this Styles and Marchington formed a new band, with the pretentious name 'Ice The Falling Rain' (described by The Spillblog as: "A band that had once talked of mixing synthesisers with punk, now started producing delicate OMD style synth pop, leaving behind the Life’s Illusion single as the incriminating evidence".
