SUBURBAN VOICE#40, SPRING 1997: Southern California was one of the inspirational centers of the punk and hardcore universe in the early to mid 80s and it was due to bands like the Adolescents, Agent Orange, Black Flag, etc ... Agression shouldn't be over-looked, either. Burly skater/surfer dudes who fused the adrenalin rush of those sports with a burning, semi-melodic punk sound . A nimble backbeat accompanying impassioned vocals and buzz-sting guitars. The threat of violence they express towards out-of-town beach interlopers for "Locals Only" isn't some empty exultation—it was what went on. The beaches were a fucked-up, crazy environment and, boneheaded as these actions are, Agression were a product of their surroundings and left behind a bruising legacy.
