Reviews & Opinions
PUNKY GIBBON: Spot-on punk spoofing, not diluted by the ravages of time. Indeed, the added factor of nostalgia for punk's often directionless rage makes it all the funnier. 'Kill' is a demented, expletive-strewn Damned parody, complete with an upper-class twit asking "Is she REALLY going out with him?" at the start. 'Gobbing On Life' takes a much slower pace and is equally effective, with some brilliant Johnny Rotten-esque sneering. The Clash (as well as The Damned) come in for a bit of stick on 'Snuffin'' Like That': "Council estate/Filled with hate/Gotta end it now before it's too late" they sing in exaggerated Cockney accents over a morass of raging guitar noise and crashing drums. Finally, they tackle reggae on the last track, an ode to suicide, murder and ganja.Additional Notes
